Halloween 2016: Pororo’s Halloween Adventure @ Novotel Manila

So yesterday we went to Novotel Manila Araneta Center for the Halloween event. We claimed our 3 free tickets courtesy of When in Manila at the tickets desk near the entrance. We got there a little early so we went out to eat lunch first.

We went back to the hotel at 1:45pm because registration starts at 2pm. The event was held at the Monet Ballroom on the  2nd floor of the hotel. I went to the registration desk to write our names, then they gave Jaden a name tag and number 9 tag. Jaden didn’t want to stick the name tag and number tag on his costume so I wore it for him. The name tag got lost before the event started though.

We then went to the next table where Jaden got his loot bag. The usherettes and event organizers were all so fond of my son that they played and took a picture with him! ๐Ÿ˜ Jaden was soooo hyper that he kept running around the lobby while we were waiting for the Monet Ballroom doors to open. Everyone was like “oh he’s so cute!” Or “heeey look at Buzz Lightyear! So cute!” and me made me feel happy and proud because that’s my baby! ๐Ÿ˜

The doors opened at around 3pm. We got inside the room and sat on table 9. There was a Pororo show and other music videos for kids playing on the projector. It took quite a while for everyone to settle down. The usherettes served raspberry iced tea, calamansi iced tea, lemonade, and coffee while we were waiting. Meanwhile, Jaden got grumpy and asked for milk, then he fell asleep. He got so tired from running along the lobby! Hahaha! ๐Ÿ˜‚

After about 30 minutes, the buffet table opened so we stood in line to get our food. They served mini burger, mini pizza, spaghetti, chicken nuggets, fries, mini eclair, brownies, gummy candies and marshmallows.

The program started with the emcee asking the kids to go to the front because they’re gonna choose the winners for the cutest halloween costume. Since Jaden was sleeping, I had to carry him to the front. I tried to wake him up but he was really knocked out! Hahaha! So I stood there with roughly 85 other kids who were dancing while photographers and parents took pictures. They announced 10 winners for the cutest halloween costume. I was anxiously waiting for Jaden’s name to be called, then I heard, “number 9 Buzz Lightyear!” That was my son! Oh did I feel sooo proud and happy!! I couldn’t take that big smile off my face! I went up the stage with 9 other kids, we got our pictures taken and then we got another loot bag as a prize. Jaden was still asleep all the while! ๐Ÿ˜‚

After that, there were some games for the kids. Then there was a magic show. Of course Jaden wasn’t able to participate because he was sound asleep.

After the magic show, Pororo came on stage and danced. The kids, however, swarmed on stage to hug and touch Pororo so he couldn’t continue dancing. The emcee asked the kids to go down so Pororo can continue dancing. It was followed by another set of games then a puppet show. After that, Pororo danced on stage again with his friends Petty and Crong.

The program continued with picture-taking with Pororo and friends. We stood in line per table number and got a picture on stage.

After the meet and greet, we proceeded to the 6th floor of the hotel for the trick-or-treat. We waited for a few minutes for the elevator because there were a lot of participants. We went trick-or-treating at the Kids Club, Inbalance Fitness, and Pool Bar. Then we went to the sky garden for the film-showing. We didn’t plan to watch the movie though because Jaden wouldn’t understand it yet. We just took some pictures and let Jaden run and play around.

Before going home, the event organizers saw Jaden and played with him again.

We left the hotel at past 6pm.

It was a fun, fun Halloween celebration and I’m happy that Jaden got to experience this. He was the darling of the crowd and it makes me really proud. I’m looking forward to celebrating Halloween next year!

Thank you so much, When in Manila for picking Jaden as the champion for the best halloween costume contest!
